In collaboration with Mayflower Council, we make Nobscot Scout Reservation better
he Nobscot Alumni Association assists Mayflower Council making Nobscot Scout Reservation a safe and awesome environment where Scouts develop outdoor skills, have varied camping experiences and appreciate conservation.
Today, we accomplish the NAA mission by planning for the future collaborating with Mayflower Council, communicating with NAA members, increasing awareness, volunteerism, and encouraging passionate teams of volunteers and donors.
NAA Members and the Nobscot Hammer Crew regularly post updates on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Nobscotscoutreservation
Local members of the NAA, who like working outdoors and who are physically able, are encouraged to join the Nobscot Hammer Crew.
Adults, having a history with the Nobscot Scout Reservation, stay socially connected with each other via the Nobscot Alumni Association (NAA). Whether Nobscot is the scout camp of your own youth, your children’s youth, or you are one of our many hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, or dog-walking day-visiting public – the NAA is a way to stay engaged and connected – or volunteer. The NAA allows you to keep informed of the massive amount of repairs and improvement work regularly being done at Nobscot by the Nobscot Hammer Crew and other volunteers – or - to financially support those repairs and camp improvements. Since 1928, Nobscot has been a wilderness camp stewarded by generations of Scouters – thoughtfully, passionately, reverently. Follow us!
NAA Founder, Larry Bearfield worked for decades to keep Nobscot Scout Reservation on the radar screen for investment and improvement. The NAA evolved from Larry Bearfield’s Norumbega News Newsletter, a way for former scouts from Norumbega Council to stay connected.
