Distance: A short 0.245-mile carry in/carry out hike from the parking lot.
Trail Conditions: The path is mostly moderately-sloped with some steep sections, making it very difficult to pull a cart.
Directions: Go left on Ellisland Trail at the intersection with Monson Trail. → Stay on EllisLand Trail for another 100 to 200 yards and the side-trail to HideAway is up in the woods on your right.
Tenting: Can accommodate an additional 15-20 scouts in tents.
Water/Latrines: Not as convenient as other sites. The nearest latrine is off the parking lot, and the nearest water pump is farther up Monsen Trail to Jethro Trail.
Character: An excellent site for tenting with a small lean-to. The recently rebuilt shelter is nestled in the woods, offering solitude and privacy.
Best For: Experienced campers who want a secluded, private site with great tenting options.
