Distance: A moderate 0.5-mile hike from the parking lot.
Trail Conditions: The trail is hilly, and pulling a cart is not recommended.
Directions: Take Belden’s Way to Pond Trail. → At the end of Pond Trail, take a left on Gen. John Nixon Trail. → When you get to the latrine at PondView cabin, a path straight ahead up the hill will take you directly to Haynes.
Tenting: A few spots around the lodge, with good tenting for 20+ scouts in flat, wooded areas within 200 yards.
